a day for girls 9-12 years old and their mothers to learn about and celebrate menstruation.
9 AM - 3 PM
The Lobby Gallery at The Langham
447 A Ave, Kaslo, BC V0G 1M0
Sunday March 1st, 2026
Through a blend of arts & crafts, education, and celebration, the girls will learn the basics of the menstrual cycle with a focus on menstruation/"periods" and begin to explore the cyclical nature of their bodies in relation to other beautiful cycles found in nature.
The first part of the day is for just the girls to do arts-based learning activities together while making new friends. Then, mothers/aunties are invited to join us at lunch for an afternoon of story-telling, bracelet-making, and wisdom sharing to celebrate the right of passage of menstruation.

Together we are planting period-positive seeds within our children that will help them to grow healthy, happy relationships with their bodies and cycles.
